We're back with the FFL Orlando 2023 Pre-Flight Checklist 004! The launch of Friends for Life is quickly approaching. You've likely planned your packing list and mapped out your flight plan for our upcoming expedition. We cannot wait to see you! Below are some reminders in case you missed them.

The room block for Friends for Life Orlando 2023 has now closed. If you wish to reserve a new room, or edit your current reservation, please call 407-939-4686. Please know that any new or updated bookings are not guaranteed.
Conference App:
You can now download the mobile app from the Apple App Store and Google Play to plan your Friends for Life experience. The app contains conference information, including the schedule, faculty and staff bios, and social activities. A username and password are not required. Download the app before you arrive!
Disney + Universal Park Tickets:
Slightly discounted multi-day tickets for Disney are available via the room block website at ffl.is/orlandohotel. There are no single-day tickets, which can be purchased through the regular Disney website. CWD is excited to share that we also have discounted tickets available for Universal at ffl.is/Universal2023. These tickets are almost half the price of purchasing a park-to-park ticket directly from Universal. Please note that you won't have time to visit parks during the conference but this might be a fun activity for you and the family post-FFL!

Don't forget that submissions for DocuDiabetes are due TODAY, Monday, June 19th at 11:59 pm ET. As a reminder, your video must be 60 seconds or less. Late submissions will NOT be accepted.
DocuDiabetes submissions will be shown at a screening on Wednesday, July 5th where they will be voted upon by your peers. The top five winners will premiere at the banquet on Thursday evening.
If this is your first year at Friends for Life, DocuDiabetes are 60-second videos documenting a day in the life with T1D. Funny, serious, poignant, rebellious, animated—it’s up to you! Check out submissions from 2022 on our YouTube channel at ffl.is/2022docudiabetes.

Calling all FFLnauts! Recognize your diabetes journey through CWD’s Journey Awards, given to commemorate 10, 25, 50, and 75 years of living with type 1 diabetes. CWD Journey Awards can be picked up at the CWD Booth in the Exhibition Hall (booth 212) on Wednesday, July 5, from 7-11 pm; Thursday, July 6, from 1-3pm; and Friday, July 7 from 9-11 am. Please use this form to request pickup of your CWD Journey Award at FFL Orlando 2023: ffl.is/JourneyAwardAtFFL.

Wednesday is a special day at Friends for Life Orlando. You get a chance to participate in focus groups, product theaters and device trials and demonstrations. Spots are still available, but some require pre-registration. Take a look at available sessions by clicking on the buttons below.

If you’re a Swiftie (AKA Taylor Swift Fan), you’re likely aware of the new friendship bracelet swap. The Fiffle (what we call our friends for life) bracelet swap is coming to Friends for Life Orlando 2023! What are the rules for participating? It's very simple, really.   
- Step one: Make (or buy—there are lots of options on Etsy if you prefer this route) friendship bracelets.
- Step two: Wear those friendship bracelets to Friends for Life.
- Step three: Trade with other Fiffles or gift the bracelets to people without bracelets to swap.
- Step four: Stop by the CWD booth in the Exhibit Hall Wednesday-Friday and create a friendship bracelet on site.
- Step five: Collect as many as you can!

Don't forget to pack your intergalactic gear for the space-themed banquet on Thursday night hosted by our friends at Walgreens! The theme is broad, all space gear is acceptable, be creative and have fun with it. Dressing up is just an option, not required. Here are photos from the 2022 safari-themed banquet.
Each registered attendee will receive an FFL Orlando 2023 conference t-shirt at check-in. A few reminders: while packing for the July Florida heat, come prepared for the convention center's chilly atmosphere with a sweater or light jacket. We see lots of afternoon thunderstorms so we suggest packing an umbrella or rain jacket for your walk to the convention center. ✨🌧️
